Search function is now disabled

Postby usmc_wlh1975 » Wed Nov 16, 2011 8:09 pm

We have been suffering from some abuse by guests and others who have been searching the user posts on the board. I have now disabled this functionality. If you need to search the board you will need to learn how to get one of the search engines to do it for you or you will need to scan them by hand.

Sorry. Growing pains.

I can just about assure you that most of this searching was being done by our Department of Justice, Department of the Navy, and United States Marine Corps...looking for evidence...Jerry

I can agree with that as part of the problem, Jerry, but a search bot is one of the tools of the trade for spammers and it is likely that some of the searches were done by them.

As an example, you can use google to search the bulletin board by placing this on the google line first followed by any search terms.

site:tftptf.com/v-web/bulletin/bb "search terms go here"

The same site statement should work for Yahoo and Bing searching, if that is your search engine of choice.

What exactally would DoJ, DoN, and others be trying to find out? I don't think anything illegal is going on here. Just information sharing on the part of victims of government misinformation. Am I being naive? What evidence? What is not legal? What is the crime?

Larry,
The FTCA Claims that have currently been submitted would necessitate that government lawyers search the DB for evidence to discredit those claims.

Oh thanks. I forget that right and wrong are not relevant. I forget that its OK for the DoN, USMC, DoJ... To POISION thousands upon thousands of us, denigh everything, and then go after who ever for some minor infraction. Silly me. After all YOU CAN TRUST THE GOVERNMENT, JUST ASK AN INDIAN. (GRIN)

Larry,
Remember the two "L" rule - Lawyers and Liability. That is the game for the DON now. Doing the right thing went out the window a long time ago.

The government is using these blogs in court to establish statutes of limitations on a case by case basis. They are using individual postings to claim that this person stated this or that and this should constitute their knowledge...they are using every trick in the book in an attempt to keep all of these cases from ever making it through the courts. They know that if one of these cases ever makes it to a point of decision...they are toast! Jerry Ensminger

In fact, Adam Bain, the Department of Justice attorney assigned to defend the Department of the Navy/United States Marine Corps in Camp Lejeune cases, has just filed another motion to dismiss on cases brought in front of the federal court in the 11th district. Mr. Bain's basis for requesting dismissal of these cases is based upon the "discretionary function" exception, in otherwords our Department of Justice is stating that it was the discretion (choice) of our Marine Corps commanders as to whether or not we would be poisoned! Boy! Won't this make the parents of America feel comfortable about allowing their children to serve in our military? Jerry Ensminger
