General Discussion-Camp Lejeune Water Contamination

renal cell carcinoma

Postby jbrown » Tue May 08, 2012 5:02 pm

Is there some kind of chart that shows a list of diseases and how many members are affected by each disease? I now have stage 4 renal cancer that has spread to my lung and bones. My doc says if I can come up with proof that there is a cluster of kidney cancer among Camp Lejeune residents, then he would write me a nexus letter. I am very angry. If I had been informed of this poisoning by the USMC, instead of them covering it up, I might not have started a family. Now, the sad part is that they will be the ones to suffer. Where is the integrity? It seems they are just going to stall until we are all gone. There are no gray areas. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I'm not sure where I heard this, but I like it. "Integrity is doing the right thing, even if you think nobody will ever find out." Thank you for any information you can send my way. Semper Fi. Joe

You can use google to search tftptf, as follows:

site:www.tftptf.com "RENAL CELL CARCINOMA"

Hi Joe,

Am sorry to hear about your cancer and can understand your anger. Yes, there is a lot of kidney cancer coming out of those exposed to Camp Lejeune's toxic drinking water.
You will need to show your doc that you were stationed at Camp Lejeune during the time that the water was exposed. You will also need to look at the maps to show that the area on base where you lived and worked was were the water was contaminated. You doc already knows about your medical history. You can get more information about the kidney cancer from this website.

This link is all about those with renal cell cancer.

You can also try using the word "kidney cancer" in place of "renal cell carcinoma" in a google search...
Google this - site:www.tftptf.com "kidney CANCer"

Renal cancer is listed as one of the 14 illnesses on page 9 of the VA Regional Office 4/27/11 Training letter. Give this to your doc.
http://www.tftptf.com/Misc/Training_Letter__April_27_2011.pdf

Do a search on renal cell cancer and each chemical that was in the water - benzene, PCE, TCE and show the connection.
There is more discussion on this here...

Two sites that give examples of Nexus letters, one with a sample letter to give to your doc to follow.

Hope this helps make the paperwork a little easier for you.
Hang in there.
