hello, i have just recently found out about this.. i have contact the atty's and my own atty.. yet to hear from them... but anyway, i was stationed at camp lejeune from 1984 to 1987 with brief intermissions and again from 1989 to 1991. when i was medically retired with gastor intestinal problem..ie ulcertive colotis and there are well documented issues with my kidneys...... which i have read in the reports so i am coming to conclusion this contamination caused my issues... now i have also read where this will cause a restructure in the man's reproductive cells... 2 yrs ago.. i lost my daughter to a brian tumor.... could this be a link to her brian tumor since i was effected from the contamination.. did i in effect contaminate my daughter which lead to her tumor and ultimate death??? did the marine corps assist in the death of my daughter for their failure to notify us about this contamination??? if any could help please contact me...thanks again for all this information

health effects

hi jlh43,
I was at camp lajeune from 1985-1986. I was told by a lady named Shannon at the Health and Human Services that there was more than two chemicals in the water. Here is what she told me was in the water: TCE, PCE, DCE, METHYLENE CHLORIDE, VINYL CHLORIDE & other VOCS.
I have two forms of arthritis, fibromyalga, anxiety disorder and neurological problems. My back also broke for no logical reason. My wife and I also lost our first baby to a miscarriage, our son also has health problems. My blood type changed also, it was o- before I was at Camp Lajeune and it has been a+ ever since I left Camp Lajeune.
I am disabled and have been unable to work since 1994 and received a letter from the V.A. after almost a year of providing evidence from all of my doctors flat turning me down for any help at all.
Congressman Heath Shuler was going to help, but it does not look like he has very much influence with the V.A. I hope you have better luck than I have had.
