Now that Amendment 2321 is attached to H.R. 1585, what happens to it? How should we proceed? Who do we email now?

The House Armed Services Committee and the Senate Armed Services Committee each have their own version of the Defense Authorization Bill. Once the Senate version is finally passed (the house passed theirs months ago) then they will go into committee conference to hammer out the differences between the two versions of the bill. Once they resolve the differences the bills are merged into one and submitted to the President for his signature, once he signs it the bill then becomes law. We need to wait to see who the conferees are going to be (especially on the House side) then we can start pressuring them to agree with the Dole amendment..........Jerry

As soon as the conferee's are named for the Defense Authorization bill conference I will get a list of who is on it for the House and the Senate. There is no need to worry about the Senate, we need to put the House members of this conference on notice, as soon as I get the list of conferee's, we will post it on this web-site............Jerry
