I was stationed aboard Camp Lejeune from 1983 -1985. I was told in 1989 that I had Malignant Melanoma Cancer at stage 4, I have no family history, and I am not a sun worshiper. I know the rule of thumb is to see a person with blond hair and blue and say that is the reason you have Malignant Melanoma cancer, so why didn't my grandparents or my parents they all work outside most of their lives. This all began when, Bev Prude said the report from the Camp Lejeune contamination study left out Benzene, which through online research I was able to find all kinds of studies to link Benzene to Melanoma. I have copies of all the studies if anyone would like a copy but my main reason for posting this is to find other Melanoma survivors or the families of Melanoma victims. Also to see if anyone has found a Doctor the will look at these studies and be willing to write a letter showing the connection.
Thank You,
