I am a journalist currently working on a story for The Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette and am trying to find anyone who was effected, or had a loved one effected by the Camp Lejeune toxic water. As a former Marine and the 4th generation of military service in my family I feel this is an issue that needs continued coverage. As early as last year there was a man in Columbia, S.C. who found out that the cancer-related deaths in his family could be connected to their time growing up in the Lejeune area. There is a large number of military veterans and retirees in my area, along with two Marine Corps bases and feel that continued awareness about the Lejeune poisoning is important. I would appreciate anyone who would share their story with my publication, or forward my contact info to someone they know.
Thank you for your time.
